Until We Collide - Charlotte Fallowfield

What do you do when the author you're in love with is so fooking awesome?

That's never the dilemma with CJ/Charlotte.

I'm meeting her at the Leeds Author Event in March (mega eeeeek!). I already have The Temptress to get signed but I have Pre-Ordered this book to be handed over at the event. In fact I filled out Charlotte's form before I had finished the book that's how much I got excited!

Until We Collide

What do you do when the guy you’re in love with is seeing someone else?

That’s the dilemma facing Paige Taylor. All of her life she’s only ever had eyes for the gorgeous Alec Wright, but despite their undeniable chemistry, their timing has always been off. Fast approaching her thirtieth birthday, Paige despairs of ever finding love and a happy ever after. Her best friend Poppie tells her that she can either watch life pass her by, or grab it with both hands. She convinces Paige to throw herself back into the dating pool, or she could be waiting for Alec forever.

What Paige didn’t expect was the catalogue of dating disasters to follow. A neck brace, jelly fish, stitches, flashing and an encounter with a gorilla were some of the most memorable. Despite some downright hilarious, humiliating and cringe worthy dates, her biological clock is ticking and Paige is determined to keep trying until she finds the one. Was Alec Wright always her Mr. Right, or is he still out there waiting to be found?

Join Paige in her quest to find the ultimate prize. Love.

Charlotte Fallowfield's alter ego, C.J. Fallowfield, is an Amazon bestselling author of contemporary humorous erotic romantic fiction.

Rachel's Review

Well well well Charlotte has stunned me again. A superb read.

I read this in a day. It had me captivated from the start! This book grabs you, pulls you in and all you can do is strap yourself in and enjoy the ride. I loved both the main protagonists but I loved Paige's character so well written and I really felt for her! My heart broke for her and I felt happiness when she did.

Totally well worth a read so get your hands on it now and enjoy this humorous, well written, heart capturing and titilating book.

The Recovery of Catherine Brodie - Grace Harper

Yay! I was so pleased to get this as an ARC from lovely Grace - I've started calling her this as she is loveliness personified.

I'd been waiting for this book forever and it was nice to see the date of the next one in the back of this one. I cant remember if its a 3 or 4 book series but I will endeavour to find out.

The Recovery of Catherine Brodie:

“...’Do you love me yet?’ Alex said, hoping the answer was yes...”

The Recovery of Catherine Brodie starts four years after Erin’s confrontation in the cellar of Green’s. Alexander Devlin wants his band to perform at Green’s and writes a begging email. Erin relents and says yes, even though it goes against all her rules.

Erin continues to put her past behind her, but like every bad penny, they always turn up.

Erin Brodie has made a success of her music venue and it’s the most sought after place in the country for non-signed artists to perform. Alexander Devlin is the guitarist from the rock band Fragile, they are at the top of their game and are just about to release their final album.

Erin drops her guard and so her courtship with Alex begins, but it comes at a price. Erin has enemies and, this time, they have upped their game. This time, her life is in jeopardy and it takes all of her friends to race to find her.

This time, they might just be too late...

Rachel's Review

Well where do I start i think I start with the sex! *fans self* Man that woman can write a steamy sex scene. Lady parts are certainly not referred to a flower or petals! (A massive pet peeve of mine). I loved the way Grace writes about sex. Its more than just the act its about sexuality and sensuality.

If you haven't read anything from Grace Harper, WHY? She's a fabulous writer that, fingers crossed, one day I hope to meet, hug and thank her for my introduction to Catherine Brodie. And of course getting her to sign some books!

This book is just as good as the first. Full of hot steamy sex, intrigue, fabulous writing and will pull you in, making you stop up late just to read one more page!

I CANNOT wait for the next book. May is so far away.

PS Grace - that last page......

The Disappearance of Catherine Brodie - Grace Harper

I love Grace Harper. Seriously this woman makes me laugh. Check out her Facebook page here.

She's done some other fantastic works also!

Theres the Geary Brothers series. The first book shocked the shit out of me. Never thought it was going to be like how it was!

Look! It even comes in a box set! Well worth it!

As usual the normal disclaimer applies that this lovely author has graced my kindle with the ARC for an honest review.

The Disappearance of Catherine Brodie-

Catherine Brodie has a happy life in Brighton, she has friends, a secret boyfriend and almost at the end of her law degree.

However, everything changes when she reaches her twentieth birthday.

She tells a white lie to get out of a family dinner to celebrate her birthday and sneaks off to a party. The repercussions upend her secure and stable life. Two weeks later, she attends the funeral of her brother and parents. Each birthday following sends Catherine into turmoil with more heartache and misery. There are those that wish her harm.

Alexander Devlin was there the night of her birthday and by coincidence, he crosses paths with her every year. Catherine dismisses the coincidence, but her best friend Tara Adkins is convinced fate is throwing them together.

The first novel of a new quartet that tells the story of Catherine Brodie and her struggle to come to terms with what she did that had far-reaching consequences. It is an epic tale of love, passion, and revenge.

Devastated with her loss, Catherine carves out a new life and starting her own business. The group of friends she picks up along the way helps her hide from those who wish her harm. It doesn’t take long for her harasser to find her and make her life a misery once more.

The question is, will Alexander Devlin be there in time to save her?

Rachel's Review

When I received this ARC I was peeing my pants with excitement. Id seen all the pre release stuff on Facebook and I'd been waiting with baited breath for it to hit my kindle. I was hoping that this book would live up to the smashing synopsis I'd read in the pre-release bumph. (Yes on this occasion I'd read the synopsis before I'd read the book).

I shouldn't have worried, it was a bloody cracking read! Seriously good. The writing changed through out the book to match the maturing character, it was so well written. Twists and turns and not knowing where you'll end up, how you got there or what would happen next.

I loved this story and where it took me, I really felt for her in her saddest moments and hid behind an imaginary cushion in the exciting/scary/wtf scenes.

Bravo Grace, bravo. I love it and can't wait for the next installment.

The Temptress - CJ Fallowfield

Afternoon lovelies! How gorgeous is the cover of this book! I love it! Another one of the Leeds Author Event authors.if you haven't yet got tickets to this event or you just want to find out more information please just search #LeedsAuthorEvent2016 anywhere or click here!

I really can't express how important these events have been to expanding my ever growing list of amazing authors.

Just to let you know, as I always do!, that this book was sent to me by the author for my honest review and review it honestly I will!

The Temptress

The Temptress ~ There’s just something about a French accent, something that conjures images of romance, sex and passion. There’s a reason French is called ‘the language of love.’ ~ Lulu McQueen runs an exclusive honeytrap agency, to test the fidelity of rich men for their suspicious partners. While her business flourishes and her track record in the field remains unbroken, earning her the nickname of The Temptress, her personal life isn’t so successful. A trip to Paris, years ago, led to the most erotic encounter of her life with Luc, a charismatic, dominant, irresistible Frenchman. For one night she experienced bliss on a scale she’d never encountered and fled in the morning, ashamed of herself, but her Parisian one night stand was burned into her memories and no one since had compared. With no one available on short notice, Lulu steps in to lure Mrs. Le Grand’s rich husband, for an extortionately high fee. Lulu’s in for the shock of her life when she finds her mark at the hotel bar. Luc Le Grand still has a face and body to make Adonis weep. He exudes confidence, masculinity and raw sex appeal. The question now isn’t whether Lulu can tempt him, but whether she can resist him, retain her reputation and secure her fee, or whether she’ll fall under Mr. Le Grand’s spell. Again.

Rachel's Review

So lets get down to the nitty gritty.....

After I read this book I turned to to read the synopsis. I really don't think the synopsis does the book justice. Its should say: arrrrrrrghhhhh for the love of god read this awesome book! Its hot, its romantic and its bloody brilliant! The characters are real and the female is not a damsel in distress or a virgin or a wimp. It made for a stonkingly good read.

I love a good British romance and the addition of a sex god of French man. The writing has a Shakespearian-esque style to it within the romantic speeches and yes, once, it made me cry happy tears. The blinking elephant house. I had flashback to the Railway Children at that point.

This story proves its doesn't matter how hard you are on the outside we all just need love.

Please. For the love of god read this book and give it a chance. At only 30% in I'd got others to buy it in the office as I'd waxed lyrical about it so much.
