69 Bottles #1, #2 and #3 - Zoey Derrick

I don't even know how I came about having this book on my kindle. I dont remember buying it so I must have had a 'I want something different' book splurge.

Claiming Addison

"Claiming Addison is a knock your socks off, steamy and erotic, fun and exciting romance that will have you pumped up from the very first chapter." - Shayna, Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads

For Addison Beltrand, PR rep for Bold International, Inc. climbing the corporate ladder is all that matters in life. Her hard work is finally rewarded with the promotion she’s worked her ass off to earn—but the gig comes at a price. She leaves in two days for a twelve-week tour with America’s hottest alternative rock band, 69 Bottles.

Talon Carver, lead singer of 69 Bottles, has no problem with women--as long as they’re gone by morning. When Addison shakes up his world, it’s a huge problem—compounded by the fact that Addison’s not the only one he wants.

Kyle Black, manager of 69 Bottles, has a secret. He and Addison are closer than she thinks, but telling her could keep her away. When Talon sets his sights on Addison, Kyle uses his secret to push her into Talon’s arms, only to discover she isn’t the only one he needs.

Two men. One dilemma.

Talon is wild, reckless and loves control.

Kyle is calm, collected and loves passion.

The perfect balance…or Addison’s ultimate undoing?

Talon and Kyle push their boundaries and Addison’s, but can they throw their reservations to the wind and claim her together?

Two men. One woman. A rock band. A tour bus. One Wild Ride…

Craving Talon

Rock hard once again with Zoey Derrick’s sizzling hot rock & roll series!

The story picks up as 69 Bottles continues their tour, riding a surge of success thanks to an impromptu duet between Talon and Addison.

It’s a crazy turn of life for Addison Beltrand, who’s always lived to work and worked to live. Now, everything is shifted upside down—and that’s not a bad thing. Stepping on the 69 Bottles tour bus has banished the heartache of her past, and feels like a rocking new beginning.

Talon Carver and Kyle Black couldn’t agree more. The band’s lead singer and manager are falling hard for the beautiful rock chick, and will do anything to keep her in their bed—and between their bodies—forever.

The trio’s blissful bubble is popped by a danger nobody has anticipated. The band’s security team, always watchful for fan attacks on the members, isn’t prepared for what happens to Addison during this leg of the tour. Will Kyle and Talon be able to help save Addison? Or will her fear force her to pack her bags and return to LA?

Everything hinges on her decision…

Two men. One woman. A rock band. A tour bus. One Wild Ride…

Redeeming Kyle

Falling in love was the easy part…

For Talon Carver, the commanding and charismatic lead singer of the rock band 69 Bottles, life has never been better—or worse. His heart’s at a full 11 for Addison Beltrand, his feisty PR rep. But admitting it was a much different tune. The dilemma’s even more complicated when adding his other lover to the mix: Kyle Black, the band’s handsome, sweet and sexy manager.

Why ruin a good thing, right? Things are pretty damn perfect for the trio—in and out of bed. But just when they find their best rhythm with each other, a rocky night in Minneapolis forces all three to reexamine their feelings—and take their relationship to new levels.

But can love be enough?

The band’s soaring popularity, along with the pressures of maintaining an unconventional relationship on a high-profile rock tour, start to take their toll. When Addison starts to fall apart, Talon and Kyle must come to terms with how important she is to them both.

Can Addison find the strength to be their glue once more?

What happens when the world goes on…but yours suddenly stops?

When everything looks like it’s going to fall apart? Is love enough to bring Talon, Kyle, and Addison back to each other’s arms…and with it, the magic that true redemption can bring?

Rachel's Review

Wow, ok where to start. These books are certainly unique. The first book sucked me in, the second gave me the feels and the third gave me my HEA.

So the good - the sex was written brilliantly. Very visual. I've read m/f/m books before but never m/m/f or m/m. I've wanted to read some m/m for a while. I loved Addison and Talon and I loved how the relationship seemed to work between all three main characters.

The 'bad'- well not bad as such, if it was bad i wouldn't have finished all 3 and going on to read more in the series. I didn't like the ending. I thought it was too predictable. I also didn't like Kyle, but I'm guessing I wasn't supposed to until he'd redeemed himself.

All in all a good series. A random purchase.

A Red Hot Christmas Paris - CJ Fallowfield

So both Michaela and I are big, huge, mahoosive fans of Charlotte Fallowfield. We're both in here review team and I look forward to reading her work. I love the way she's always got time for her readers and I love seeing Mr Pumpkin updates. Please take the time to like her page on Facebook to keep up to date with all things CJ.

We've both been sent Arc copies of A Red Hot Christmas Paris in exchange for (as always) honest reviews.

 A Red Hot Christmas Paris

Fancy a little spice, plenty of heat, and something saucy in your stocking this year?

Get your jolly on this Christmas and let Santa deliver one of The Red Hot Christmas series of standalone erotic romance novellas to your e-Reader. Full of festive frolics that will add some cheer to your holiday!

A Red Hot Christmas - Paris.
Two couples, Lulu and Luc Le Grand and their firm friends, Coco Barrella and Hunter Donovan, head to Paris for a romantic getaway at The Domville Hotel. Looking forward to good company, great food, and some steamy seasonal shenanigans away from the pressures of work, the last thing they expect is to be stranded there on Christmas Eve.

Will the calm marital waters of the seemingly perfect Le Grand’s relationship become choppy when they risk not making it home to their children for Christmas Day?

And will “love to hate each other” couple Coco and Hunter grow closer in the city of love, or will they be pulled apart by the unintentional reminder of their failings as they compare themselves to their married friends?

Michaela's Review

I absolutely love all CJ Fallowfield's work this lady is on talented author! I'm yet to find any that's left me disappointed. And This short novella was everything I expected from her and more it's just made my Christmas a hell of a lot hotter and sexier. This brings back some much lived characters from All That Glisters and The Temptress. If your looking for a short, steamy Christmas read then this must be it. Loved it!

Rachel's Review

I loved this little book! I now have to go and read The Temptress and All that Glisters again though. I love Luc and Hunter! This is the perfect little book for CJ fans. PS Charlotte writes good sex! She's not overtly pornographic and definitely keeps it classy but hot. Nice story line and classic Charlotte goodness. Well worth reading!

Fault (Define Book 3) - Nicola Hudson

Michaela -*~* I received an arc in return of a honest and unbiased review *~*

Fault

Nobody’s perfect.
We all have our faults.

GRACE DAWSON is desperate. Her father is dead and her mum is in prison for killing the man who attacked her. She is about to turn eighteen and homeless. Her options are limited. Life is bleak.

NOAH CARTER is twenty-four, a writer, and burdened by his family responsibilities. Forced to live in the same small town he grew up in, he knows it would be wrong to wish for a different life.

When Noah offers Grace a place to stay, it is an act of generosity that she has little choice but to accept. As they spend time together, their feelings grow beyond friendship and they become increasingly important parts of each other’s lives. But it’s not just their lives they have to think about and the challenges they face threaten to overwhelm their relationship. Both make mistakes but can they overcome their own faults to forgive each other’s?

FAULT is a story about love, loss, family and forgiveness. It’s a story about life.

Fault is the third novel in Nicola Hudson’s Define series but can be read as a standalone from Curve and Heart, although it does contain spoilers if read out of sequence

Michaela's Review

I've been eagerly awaiting fault after devouring heart and curve by Nicola and I absolutely loved them both. I had high expectations for this and boy did she deliver! I had so many emotions in reading this and stayed up late just so I could finish it. At times If I could of climbed In and slapped Noah I would, I wanted to bang graces and Noah's heads together at one point too! And then there was the heartbreak which was followed by tears. The words literally jumped out the pages at me. This is an beautifully written, emotional read and an epic finally to the series! Well done Nicola!

Break the Cycle - Various Authors

Introducing . . .

break_the_cycle_an__cover_for_kindle

Blurb:

To coincide with National Anti-Bullying Week in the UK, 14 writers have come together to write about bullying from a variety of perspectives. We think this is still an issue that needs more of a spotlight – now more than ever unfortunately. Forget what you read in the media, these stories will tell you what is really going on in schools, behind closed doors and in places you never thought to look. The pressures our social workers face when it comes to bullying and abuse are immense but it doesn’t stop there. Sometimes bullying gets brought to the attention of head teachers, or the police, then the parents (of both the bully and bullied). Maybe a friend steps in. Maybe a stranger steps in. Or even a family pet. So many people are affected by the malicious acts of one or more instigators and the cycle threatens to repeat. Perhaps, bullying doesn’t stop though. Ever. Maybe it ends in death. Maybe we can’t break the cycle, or can we? Perhaps bullying isn’t straightforward; maybe it’s sometimes mistaken for jest. You really need to read on… because bullying isn’t an issue limited to childhood. It’s all around us and sometimes escalates into devastating abuse. Sometimes it’s verbal, sometimes physical, maybe even both, but whichever form it comes in, it always has an impact. These stories might make you reach out to a certain person in your life you’ve never really questioned until now – because most victims are still suffering in silence. This is for them. Word length: 70,000 words + Universal link to pre-order: mybook.to/BTC Release date: November 14th

Sarah's review (the editor):

Break the Cycle: An Anti-Bullying AnthologyBreak the Cycle: An Anti-Bullying Anthology by Sarah Michelle Lynch My rating: 5 of 5 stars When I read all of these stories, I was reminded how amid the hustle and bustle of life, it’s so easy to overlook those around us who are coping on their own and not telling us what’s going on in their lives. Each and every story presented here is individual, many of them set in the UK and some set in the USA. Essentially, this is a book of hope. This is a book proving we can break the cycle. Maybe it won’t be easy, but we can do it. Some of these stories may send you into sensory overload and some may even leave you devastated. Some stories will lift you up, others might prompt you into action. Many will have you nodding your head or being taken back to a familiar scenario of the past. The main message of “Break the Cycle”, is that children are what matters and as children, we are at our most vulnerable and most easily influenced. It’s those less fortunate than others that we really need to protect because among them are potential future leaders, policemen and women, teachers, poets, artists and icons. Due to some adult language and upsetting situations, I would give this a recommended reading age of 12+ but parental discretion is advised. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE NSPCC. Michaela's Review

Let me start by saying Anna Bloom is one very talented lady. I've read most of her work and I'm yet to be left disappointed. I love her writing style. Her story lines and the depth of her characters.

I've not read a lot of paranormal books and I've only read 1 that really had me but I can honestly say THIS right here has just turned me because Holy hell! That was was one of the most amazingly written, nail biting reads I've ever experienced! I was left speechless at the end, which is very rare for me. This has quite literally blown me away!

I couldn't stop turning the pages on this little beauty. I devoured it in one sitting and my kindle didn't leave my hands. I was gripped from chapter one and all the way to the very last page. I felt the build up of the characters, their own personalities, their quirks, the tension building around them as the story progressed. I felt it all, right along with them. The story line was gripping. And I honestly didn't see the twist coming at the end!!
I'm currently sat here trying to write something to do it any form of justice and I can't begin to even form the words so I'll leave it on this:

If you read any of Anna's work it has to be this!
If you've never read a paranormal and your thinking of trying one it has to be this!
If your not sure what you want to read then let this be your purchase.
Even if this is not your normal criteria of book, please give this a chance.
You truly won't be disappointed!!

This is by far my favourite read by Anna yet and is definitely a keeper.
5 outstanding brightly coloured stars! I wish I could give it more, it truly deserves it.

Michaela's Review

Holy shit balls!! I don't think this review is going to do this amazing work justice but here goes!

I've only read about 20 paranormal books and I have to say they are not usually the criteria I read but this what absolutely amazing!! This novel had me teetering on the edge of my seat throughout, I loved that I could relate and connect with the characters and their personalities, they literally jumped out the pages at me. This had me gripped to the point where I have been up all night because I had to finish it and COULD NOT put it down.

This is a story of love and destiny, paths being written and the lives we live. Does everything happen for a reason? Do we cross paths with certain people because it was decided that way? I've fallen in love with Daiya and Kai, And cannot wait for the next instalment on their journey *cough cough*.

I'm not going to give away any spoilers but if you read one paranormal book this year it has to be this! You'll be teetering on the edge of your seats and won't finish until it's devoured! I truly wish I could give it more stars it deserves it! I've been left with a book hangover! Will absolutely be rereading this is in the future. It's a keeper!

Rachel's Review

Overall I felt really disappointed by this book. I felt the characters lacked depth and I failed to form any connection with them whilst reading the book. I felt the relationship was very rushed and the sex scenes very poorly written.

This story line was a mixture of a build up then nothing. The ending left utterly dissatisfied and mildly annoyed. I found it hard to keep going and actually finish the book. I do not like DNFs and I will always strive to finish a book once started. This book tested this theory.

I will always read Jodi's books. Always. I love her. I just didn't like this book.

I am a massive fan of Jodi. Loved her work and writing style ever since the start. I have been eagerly awaiting this!

BUT I didn't feel it with this book. I nearly gave up twice. And I felt very disappointed with the ending. Loved the story line, loved the characters but I couldn't really feel the chemistry between them. And it all happened so fast. The relationship developed too fast. At times the book felt rushed.

Four - S.C. Daiko

Michaela - ***I received an arc in return for a true, honest and unbiased review***

Four.

A Menage Erotic Romance

It’s been a year since Max and I overcame our commitment fears and chased away our demons, a year in a blissful poly relationship with Steve. And now we’re all set to become four.
It should be the best time of my life, of our lives; trying for a baby with the two hot men who keep me warm at night.
But when Steve’s friend James arrives from London, an over-the-top-theatrical scene player with his own agenda, and a whole lotta history just waiting to reignite, Steve suddenly doesn’t seem like the guy we fell in love with.
He’s changing, morphing into a different man before our eyes.

Lauren Price is happy living with the two men she loves and life couldn’t be any sweeter. What started as just a little fun a year ago – a girl, two guys, and a whole lot of sex – has become a deep three-way love she hopes will last forever.
They want to be a four – Max, Lauren, Steve and their unborn baby. That’s what they said, that’s what they planned.
But life in love doesn’t follow the rules, and soon four doesn’t look quite like the three-plus-one Lauren intended it to be.

Although a sequel to THREE, S. C. Daiko’s first Erotic Menage Romance, FOUR is a standalone story and, like its predecessor, contains vivid erotica. 18+ only. If you’re looking for a sexy, emotional read then FOUR is definitely your number.

S. C. Daiko has left me a little speechless after this. I'm currently running through the emotions. I loved the writing style and the story line. I felt a connection to the characters on a deep level and loved every second. This is an amazing read, which keeps you hooked and wanting to continue.
The reason for 4 Stars and not five (I never thought I would say this but) at times I felt I was reading porn and not a story. For me personally there was too many sex scenes one after another.
